MHRSD Jadeer Graduate Development Program

Asrar Alhassnah

The high level focus of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) GDP will be to “move the participants from classroom to conference room”. It’s about working with the participants and enabling them to step into the business world, gaining both the understanding and the skills to be a successful individual contributor, and leader, to deliver on HRSD’s vision, mission and goals. The program will be weaved together with a digital business case and business plan, emphasizing application of the learning through the real world challenges that participants will face at HRSD. The entire learning journey is in support of building the business case, cumulating with a presentation to executives at the end of the program. UC Berkeley Executive Education, in partnership with HRSD, will deliver a rigorous general management education which draws from the same courses and faculty who teach in our full-time MBA program. While each course covers a specific body of knowledge, our courses are designed to help students learn to perform better and think more creatively. Like learning to ride a bicycle, learning to think and perform takes practice. Courses will be taught using a mixture of lecture, class and case discussions, simulations, and group projects. Along the way, participants will be shaped by our curriculum and our culture which is rooted in our four Defining Principles: Question the Status Quo Confidence Without Attitude Students Always Beyond Yourself We have designed the program in a way to give participants the mindset, foundational skills and knowledge for future success at HRSD, grounded in building a digital case and a business plan to increase digital and leadership skills and become active, engaged and highly contributing HRSD team members. At the end of the program, new HRSD employees will become immediate contributors at HRSD by harnessing new ideas and creating value. Key Learning Objectives: Engage participants in a rigorous 6 week program (general competencies and Project Management) where all will learn and grow into professionals , and which will identify the top students at the end of the program. Provide the core foundational elements that will provide a broad spectrum of management theory and practice to the selected participants, anchoring these foundational elements, theories and principles with work-related projects, exercises, and simulations, reinforcing how these learnings may be applied at HRSD Give participants the mindset, foundational skills and knowledge for future success as leaders within HRSD which will enable them  to move from “classroom to conference room”, when they successfully complete the HRSD GDP Enable participants to learn how to drive and introduce key strategies around innovation and identifying new opportunities in the organization Align participants to the Vision 2030, and how to identify and champion change in the business
