Equinor is faced with an increasingly challenging environment due to the volatility of the oil industry, and the changing energy needs of the world. With the increased globalization of services and products, corporations are experiencing massive change in how they operate and must adapt and innovate to succeed. The technology strategy sets the long-term direction for technology development in Equinor, as they explore new solutions for oil and gas, reductions of carbon emissions, and renewable energy.
Key aspects of the program:
1. The goal is to develop Technology Executives that understand the role of technology as a business enabler, given volatile commercial frames, environmental challenges, and rapid technology development.
2. The leaders are top technical experts at the manager level and above and technical professionals identified as having high potential.
3. The program is organized into three modules over a six-month time frame, two in Norway and one at Berkeley. In addition to discussion sessions at Berkeley, we will also visit several innovative companies in the Silicon Valley/ SF Bay Area to learn about innovation, technology, talent, and leading under conditions of extreme uncertainty when flexibility, agility and resilience are critical for success. The goal of these immersive visits is to have conversations with business leaders and learn from their experiences and perspective.
