Applied Materials Marketing Leadership Program

Program Mission: Provide Product Marketing Managers at Applied Materials the necessary tools to grow their management execution capacity through applied learning experiences based on industry best-practices as well as academic research with Berkeley faculty. Our research shows the top skills Product Marketers should have are: ▹ Listening and talking to customers to understand their functional and emotional needs. ▹ Combing through large amounts of data to understand how a product is being used. ▹ Distilling competitive information, customer information, and company capabilities to plot a strategic course for how a product will be positioned. ▹ Communicating well so that they can write a product story or give direction to others who will write a product story. Program Outcomes; The program brings the best that the Haas School and UC Berkeley faculty have to offer, with a focus on innovation, strategy, and leadership. Applied Materials General Management program is designed to: 1. Broaden foundational business knowledge 2. Enhance strategic thinking through innovation capabilities 3.
